Announcement: Whiiite to headline SIMShows’ first Bass Freq night @ The Loft
by Stephen Mann

It may still be spring, but this year the SIMShows crew has already hosted over twenty of the biggest artists in the electronic music industry, and have thrown some of the craziest sold-out shows Minneapolis has seen. The night of Saturday, May 24th starts a new experience, a new energy, a new brand that will focus on only the loudest and the dirtiest of trap, twerk, dubstep, and bass music we can find. This summer and into late 2014, we’ll be hosting underground artists, national and international superstars, and local acts at venues throughout the Twin Cities area. If the music brings out our inner Freq, makes us trvrk all night, or has bass that shakes our bones, we’ll be bringing it here. Get ready for some crazy weekends full of sweat, energy, dance, and above all, bass.

The first artist on the Bass Freq lineup is Whiiite (Chris White). For the past year, this producer has been making some of the most incredible bass and trap music on the market today. His remix portfolio includes names such as, Avicii, The Fugees, 2 Chainz, Arty, and Miss Elliot. His originals have been played on festival stages for crowds in the hundreds of thousands.

Chris’s educational background in film and design allowed him to take the Whiiite music project to an entirely new level with an original graphic novel series that tells a story of the superhero, “Whiiite” and synch’s  with the release of each of his EP’s. The graphic novel tells of the origin of Whiiite’s powers, and the villains he faces. Each character in the novel has their own danceable sound, and fans have come to love the visuality of the Whiiite project that allows it to be more than just music. Chris has been releasing the novel in sections online; click here for his entire portfolio of original artwork, the novel, and music.

Chris has released music on almost all of the biggest labels in the electronic industry including, Interscope, Dim Mak, Ultra, Firepower, Vicious, Jack Knife, Burn the Fire, and more. This night is going to be huge, and is guaranteed to set the tone for a lineup of Bass Freq shows that will keep you dancing all summer long.
