Coyu, the Catalan King:
by SIMshows Ticketing

Not going to Summerset Music & Camping Festival? Fear not, we’ve got something real tasty for you here in Minneapolis. Ivan Ramos, otherwise known as Coyu, is the founder and owner of his self-represented label, Suara. The label is well on its way to becoming one of the most prominent labels in the electronic music industry. Its electrifying success has been proven by the fact that it has reached #1 on both Beatport and Resident Advisor as well as obtaining an Ibiza weekly summer residency at one of the most popular clubs on the island, Booom. This King of the dance floor hails from Catalonia, Spain and has been consistently surprising his fans with his instant floor filling, massive techno beats and whose career is only ever on the rise. To quote British Tilllate, the nightlife community, “he reigns in Spain”.

Coyu is arguable one of the most talented artists of the current European music scene at the moment and has gained a worldwide response to his remix of Fatboy Slim‘s classic “Right Here Right Now” that has been positively massive. Right on its tail feathers is his X-Press 2 “Muzik Xpress” remix. Other note-worthy Coyu remixes being Green Velvet & Gary Beck’s “Stronger”, The Japanese Popstars “Matter Of Time”, George Morel’s “Let’s Groove”, and Gui Boratto & Maurice Aymard’s “Home”. But one would be a fool to look beyond his newest artist releases: Coyu & Ramiro Lopez – “That’s Not Happening EP” and “Diferencias”, “The Cat & The Furious EP” (Incl Pig&Dan Remix), “Southern Instinct EP”, “Fabula EP”, “No Man Knows My History EP” or “Planete Routine”.

His dynamic and delicious sets have earned him fans from all around the globe. He has performed several times at Sonar Festival and has also DJed alongside artists such as John Digweed, Mark Farina, Steve Lawler, Derrick Carter and Fritz Kalkbrenner. While the productions flow aplenty, he continues to tour the world from South America to Asia, Europe, North America, Africa, and of course his homeland of Spain where he is considered an honor and a true visionary. If you won’t be at Summerset, this is definitely a not-to-miss show! RSVP here.
