“Phonics” is defined as the science of sound. Dirtyphonics creates something potent with their music; they are engineers of a different kind. Their music is unique and resists a definition. It varies from heavy bass drops to the rough edge of a guitar to the rhythm of hip-hop. They blend different genres, composing something exceptional.

Many A-List artists have collaborated with Dirtyphonics. Some of them might even surprise you. From Linkin Park to Kaskade, Marilyn Manson to Benny Benassi—Dirtyphonics flexes their musical versatility.

Dirtyphonic takes root in Paris, France. They began producing music in 2004. It took only a couple years before their single “French F**k” snagged the #1 spot on Beatport.

After their smash debut, Dirtyphonics released mixes across several labels, including Warner Bros. Records, Sony Records, Mau5trap, Ultra Records, and many more. They joined the Dim Mak Records family in 2012.

Since signing with Dim Mak, they have released one full-length album, titled Irreverence. They dropped their sophomore EP, Write Your Future, on their SoundCloud page just last week!

My personal favorite is “Since You’ve Been Gone (Feat. Matt Rose)”, although the entire EP is gold.

Catch Dirtyphonics with Dim Mak Records founder Steve Aoki this Friday at Myth! The show is already sold out, so watch for opportunities to win tickets on Sound In Motion’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Snapchat (@SIMshows)!
