DJ Snake @ Skyway Theater 06/20
by Stephen Mann

DJ Snake began his professional career in the music industry in 2011 by co-producing the track “Government Hooker” from Lady Gaga’s album “Born This Way”, which earned him a Grammy nomination for “Album of the Year in 2012. Later that year he signed to Diplo’s label Mad Decent where he began his venture into solo work in the EDM scene. In 2013 he released the singles “Bird Machine” (which featured fellow French artist Alesia), “Together”, and “Slow Down” subsequently, but it wasn’t until his release of the industry hit “Turn Down For What” featuring Lil’ Jon that DJ Snake became solidified as the next big player in not only the trap scene but EDM as a whole. The single went platinum before the end of March this year, and Snake has since been labeled as an “Artist To Watch” by Fox Weekly. Since his rise to fame, he has released the trap hits “Get Low” in collaboration with Dillon Francis, and “Lunatic” with Mercer:

With a half dozen singles and a growing collection of remixes under his belt, one thing is for sure; DJ Snake is going to be around for years to come, and if you like trap, you’re not going to want to miss Escape on June 20th when he hits the stage with support from Anjunabeat’s own Jaytech.
