Tim Wu, also known as Elephante, is an electro and progressive house producer based in Los Angeles, CA. However, as an Ann Arbor, MI native he is headed back to Midwest to play at Rev Ultra Lounge in Minneapolis on December 12th.
You may have heard one of his remixes of uber popular tracks like Clean Bandit’s “Rather Be”, Calvin Harris’s “Summer”, Lorde’s “Team” and Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse.” He has become one of the fastest rising EDM names and has been considered one of its brightest new stars. His sound is mostly house but is strongly influenced by pop, electro and trap.
His music has gained incredible momentum in the EDM scene, and he has played sold out shows across the country. One of his most touted performances was at NYC’s Webster Hall, where he played his new release of Galantis’ “Help.”
Elephante started his music training with classical piano, singing and song-writing. His talents don’t stop there, he also graduated from Harvard in 2011 before diving into his DJ career. Now he has released his own original music ‘Shake the Earth’ with vocals by Lyon Hart.
If you’ve felt an ‘Elephante’ in the room, this is definitely the one you want to break the ice. Get your tickets and dance moves ready for Rev Ultra Lounge this Friday. You don’t want to miss this immensely creative and growing artist!
