Emancipator Ensemble will be debuting their first tour and live show this Spring with a stop in Minneapolis on February 1st, 2014. The ensemble is a four piece electronic group pioneered by Doug Appling (aka Emancipator) in late 2013, who’s beautiful melodic sound is comprised almost entirely of live instruments. Accompanied by the violin of Ilya Goldberg, the ensemble has been selling out shows on their debut tour all over the country, and have even bigger plans for the 2014 festival season.
The bands live performance is more than just a musical experience, as they bring with them a fully custom visual and graphic production they personally designed. The balance of both the beautiful downtempo chillstep, accompanied with Illy’s violin, and visually stunning mapping brings the summer festival vibe to any venue; Even on a cold February day in Minnesota you will be able to close your eyes and feel the sun shining on your face. Emancipator has never failed to disappoint his fans, having already played sold out shows at some of the most revered venues in the country, and his newest project will only solidify his place as one of the most talented artists in the downtempo and electronica scenes.
Tickets will be available at the door for tonight’s event at Mill City Nights, doors at 8:30pm.
