The Miami duo known as GTA are all set to take over Minnesota coming up on Saturday, April 5th at Muse Event Center in Downtown Minneapolis. The guys are coming to town on their “Death To Genres Tour” and will be bringing along the duo known as What So Not for direct support. Better known as GTA, Matt Toth and Julio Mejia, came onto the scene in 2010 and ever since then have been making quite a name for themselves. Going hand in hand with their ‘Death To Genres’ campaign, their facebook bio considers them “producers without borders” which is really cool to see considering now a days so many producers get locked down to one sound or genre, but not GTA. They really have put out some amazing work from all across the dance music spectrum.
From hot moombahton to heavy trap to some banging big room, these guys can make it all! GTA’s mission is to simply set the room on fire and get all the asses clapping, every time. Since they are such versatile producers they have had the chance to team up and collaborate with a handful of other amazing artists and the results are always epic. One of their most notable collaborations has to be their track with Diplo. Of course I am talking about the track “Boy Oh Boy.” This one has been heating up dance floors for the past year or so and always makes the crowd go wild when the old school Missy Elliot beat comes back in. I am also a huge fan of their work with another Miami based producer that goes by Henrix. Their track “Hit It” was a huge success on Steve Angello’s Size Records last year and was a big stepping stone in the duo’s career. These guys put on quite the live show as well, coming equipped with a handful of their own bootlegs and edits, this set is bound to be spectacular! Be sure to grab your tickets to catch GTA and What So Not in action Saturday, April 5th at Muse Event Center in Minneapolis. I am going to leave you guys with my favorite GTA track and that is their original track titled “U&I” featuring Zashanell
